Special Issue Information

In the era of digital economy, digital innovation ecosystems have become a key driver of technological evolution and industrial transformation. The rapid evolution of digital technologies and critical events, such as the transformative impact of generative AI on knowledge collaboration and incidents of platform knowledge monopolies, highlight the urgency for systemic research to address digital innovation ecosystem management issues. Knowledge sharing, as a fundamental process of collaborative innovation within these ecosystems, significantly influences overall system effectiveness through its behavioral mechanisms and evolutionary patterns. This special issue aims to explore the formation mechanisms, evolutionary laws, and governance logic of knowledge sharing behaviors in digital innovation ecosystems from an interdisciplinary perspective integrating systems science and cybernetics. The research objectives focus on developing theoretical frameworks that better reflect complex realities, bridging the conceptual gap between micro-level behaviors and macro-level emergence, elucidating the dynamic transmission mechanisms from individual interactions to collective synergy, and ultimately advancing synergistic governance theories to foster sustainable innovation. This endeavor provides foundational academic support for understanding and managing innovation ecosystems in the digital age.

This special issue aims to address the following knowledge management and system innovation research questions:

  1. Knowledge Flow Network Modeling in Digital Innovation Ecosystems
  2. Micro-mechanisms of Knowledge Sharing Behaviors in Digital Innovation Ecosystems
  3. Evolutionary Process of Knowledge Sharing: From Micro-behavior to Collective Dynamics
  4. Emergence of Collective Knowledge Sharing Behaviors in Digital Innovation Ecosystems
  5. Governance Mechanism for Collective Knowledge Sharing Behaviors in Digital Innovation Ecosystems
